Google Inc. has commenced imaging Sri Lanka for its ‘Street View’ service to create spectacular views of our island to share with the rest of the world.

Google cars outfitted with special cameras will begin driving and taking street-level photographs at 360-degree angles of public roads across the country starting with Jaffna, Matara and Arugam Bay.
The service could be accessed on Google Maps and would provide 360 degree views and navigation of streets as if the viewer was walking down the road.
It may take a few months lag between mapping on the ground and making the images available online though.
